Christian Counselling

The Association of Christian Counsellors (ACC) defines Christian counselling as activities that "seek to help people towards constructive change and growth in any or every aspect of their lives, through a caring relationship and within agreed relational boundaries, carried out by a counsellor who has a Christian worldview, values and assumptions." see ACC-Ethics-and-Practice.pdf

Christianity has multiple healing streams with humanity and its continued sustenance, preservation and restoration in mind. I have a passion for facilitating therapy navigated through the lens of Christianity. I have worked successfully with clients who wish to explore their mental-health challenges alongside their Christian experience.

Single Session Therapy

According to Windy Dryden a SST is 'an intentional endeavour where the client and therapist agree to meet to help the client deal with their nominated concern in one session knowing that more help is available if needed'

These sessions are usually helpful if you just want to talk about one issue, or you want to find clarity, direction explore or find purpose.

Single sessions have been used as a kind of mental health check-up or a space to take care of one's general wellbeing.
